Method: base = billable units × pets × per-pet rate; estimated total = base + stay add-ons + fees − discounts. Add-ons, fees, and discounts are entered once for the whole stay. The estimated per-pet amount divides that total evenly and is only an accounting view. All amounts are entered in U.S. dollars.
Use the rate and billable-unit definition from a current written quote. Providers may define billing units, included care, taxes, deposits, cancellation terms, and additional services differently; confirm each directly before booking. This is arithmetic from your entries, not a market-price estimate or care recommendation.

The calculator multiplies units by pets and rate, then adds entered services and fees and subtracts discounts. It does not infer billing units from dates or estimate local prices.

How do I count the boarding days or nights?
Use the billable-unit count the provider confirms in a current written quote. Billing rules can differ, and this calculator does not convert calendar dates into nights, days, visits, or other units.
What is included in the estimated total?
The entered per-pet rate multiplied by billable units and pet count, plus your stay-level add-ons and fees, minus your entered discounts. Add-ons are counted once for the whole stay. Confirm taxes, deposits, cancellation terms, and included services with the provider.
Can I compare providers with this result?
This calculator estimates one stay from one rate structure. Use the boarding quote planner to organize multiple written quotes on the same booking basis; neither tool evaluates care quality or suitability.
