Track amounts applied to your pet insurance annual limit
Track insurer-confirmed amounts against your own pet insurance annual limit and estimate the remaining amount without deciding coverage.
Track your own policy’s annual maximum using amounts your insurer confirms count toward that limit. This worksheet does not decide whether a claim is covered or how your policy applies a claim to its limit.
Enter your policy limit and insurer-confirmed amounts.
Calculation: remaining amount = max(0, annual limit − amount already applied − new amount confirmed as applied). If the applied total exceeds the entered limit, the tracker reports the difference; verify the policy period and figures with your insurer.
Limits may be per incident, annual, aggregate, or lifetime. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners describes policy limits as maximum amounts an insurer will pay and notes policies can use different limit types. Check which limit applies, what counts toward it, and when the policy period resets in your own documents. This tracker is not a coverage or claim decision.

Entries are processed in this page in your browser; this worksheet does not submit them. Use the button to clear entered values. Normal page requests may appear in hosting logs; see the privacy information.
How it works
Enter the annual policy limit, amounts already applied during the current policy year, and any new amount your insurer confirms is applied. The tracker subtracts the entered amounts from the limit and floors remaining capacity at zero.
Good to know
Should I enter my full veterinary bill?
Only enter amounts your insurer or policy says count toward the particular limit you are tracking. A full invoice may not equal the amount applied to a policy limit. Confirm the amount and limit type with your insurer.
Does every policy use one annual limit?
No. Policies can use annual, aggregate, per-incident, or lifetime limits, and terms vary. Check your policy documents to identify which limit applies and the policy period.
Does the remaining amount mean my next claim is covered?
No. This is subtraction from the amounts you enter. Eligibility, exclusions, deductibles, coinsurance, sublimits and claim calculations are determined by the policy and insurer.
Formula and attribution

- annual_limit (USD): Visitor-entered limit from the policy for the policy period being tracked.
- amount_already_applied (USD): Visitor-entered amount the insurer says has already counted toward this limit during the current policy period.
- new_amount_applied (USD): Visitor-entered new amount confirmed by the insurer as applied to this limit.
Output (USD): Arithmetic tracker of remaining and, if applicable, over-limit amount based solely on visitor-entered and insurer-confirmed figures; does not determine coverage or claim eligibility.
