Questions to check alongside price
Ask what is included, where the pet will stay, how exercise and medical needs are handled, and what happens in an emergency. PAWS recommends meeting a sitter and touring an overnight facility; its checklist also raises veterinary-care policies and special needs. The AVMA recommends naming an authorized agent for veterinary emergencies while you are away. These questions help organize a conversation; checking a box here does not verify a provider.

How should I make the quotes comparable?
Ask each provider for a written total for the same dates, pets, requested services, fees, and currency. Confirm whether the quoted amount is per night, visit, day, or booking; this worksheet does not translate between billing structures.
Does a lower total mean a provider is a better choice?
No. The arithmetic only compares the amounts you enter. It does not evaluate care quality, availability, safety, licensing, insurance, suitability, or whether checked services have been independently verified.
What questions should I ask before booking?
