Dog vaccination quote worksheet · Reviewed November 3, 2026
Compare written dog vaccination estimates for a vet-confirmed plan
Compare current written clinic estimate totals for the same veterinarian-confirmed dog vaccination plan, while recording inclusions and open questions. No vaccine schedule or expected prices.
Use this worksheet after a veterinary team has discussed a plan for this dog. Copy totals and scope from current written clinic estimates; the page compares only the amounts and notes you enter. It does not choose vaccines or create a schedule.
Shared plan details
Do not use this field to decide which vaccines are needed. If clinics are quoting different plans, ask the veterinary team to clarify the differences before comparing totals.
Written clinic estimates
Clinic 1
Clinic 2
2 estimates listed (maximum 4).
Enter written estimate totals from at least two clinics.
Questions to ask before comparing
- Are both estimates based on the same plan the veterinary team discussed for this dog?
- Does either estimate include an examination or other visit charges, and are any items quoted separately?
- Are any prices conditional on an examination, records review, or other findings?
- How long is each estimate valid, and how will the clinic contact me if the expected amount changes?
- Can the clinic provide or update the dog’s written vaccination record after services are given?
AAHA’s canine vaccination guidance describes individual risk factors as part of veterinary vaccine recommendations. Use the vaccination visit checklist to organize records and questions. For broader household planning, see the pet cost planner or first-year puppy budget planner.
Method, source, and limits
For each clinic, the result displays the entered written estimate total and its arithmetic difference from the first complete estimate. It does not adjust for different inclusions, taxes, visit fees, insurance, or quote dates; check those details directly. A lower total does not establish that two plans or services are equivalent. The page gives no expected price, vaccine list, schedule, or recommendation.

How it works
After a veterinary team discusses a plan for your dog, enter each clinic’s written estimate total and copy its included and unclear items. The worksheet shows visitor-entered totals and arithmetic differences from the first estimate; it does not create a vaccine plan or schedule.
Good to know
Does the worksheet tell me which vaccines my dog needs?
No. Ask a veterinary team to assess your dog’s records, health, location and exposures. This page only organizes written estimates for a plan already discussed with that team.
How are estimate differences calculated?
Each entered total is shown as written, and the worksheet subtracts the first complete estimate from each later one. It does not account for different inclusions, taxes, visit fees or quote dates.
Does the lowest estimate mean the plans are equivalent?
No. Confirm the same plan, included services, conditions and validity dates with each clinic. The worksheet does not assess medical equivalence or clinic quality.
Formula and attribution
Last updated:
estimate difference = visitor-entered clinic estimate total - first complete clinic estimate total
- vet_confirmed_plan_context (visitor-entered text): Optional wording for a plan discussed with a veterinary team; the tool does not select vaccines or create a schedule.
- written_clinic_estimate_totals (USD per clinic estimate): Non-negative totals copied from current written clinic estimates for the same vet-confirmed plan.
- included_and_open_items (visitor-entered notes): Items copied from each estimate as included, separate, optional, conditional or unclear; not independently verified.
Output (USD per entered estimate and arithmetic USD difference): Displays entered totals and differences from the first complete estimate. It does not infer comparable scope, taxes, fees, expected prices, a vaccine list, or a schedule.
