Estimate recurring dog-walking costs from your quote

Estimate weekly, monthly and annual dog-walking costs from your schedule, quote basis, recurring fees and one-time charges.

Estimate recurring dog-walking costs using the schedule and written quote you already have. Enter walks per week and choose whether the quoted amount is per dog per walk or per dog per week.

Enter your planned schedule and a current provider quote.

Method: for a per-walk quote, weekly cost = walks per week × dogs × (quoted amount + per-walk add-on). For a weekly quote, weekly cost = dogs × quoted weekly amount + walks per week × dogs × per-walk add-on. Monthly equivalent = weekly cost × 52 ÷ 12 + monthly fees. Annual planning total = weekly cost × 52 + 12 × monthly fees + one-time fees. Amounts are entered in U.S. dollars; 52 weeks is a planning assumption.

Confirm in writing what the quote covers, its billing unit, extra-dog charges, travel or holiday fees, cancellation terms, and any recurring or one-time charges. This tool does not estimate local rates, judge provider quality, or decide whether or how often an individual dog should be walked. The AVMA describes exercise as an owner responsibility and walking as one possible shared activity; it does not set a universal paid-walking schedule. Ask your veterinary team about your dog’s individual activity needs.

Compare a different daytime-care quote in the dog daycare budget planner, or include your entered estimate in the pet cost planner. No provider or product referrals are active.

How it works

Enter your walks per week, number of dogs, and a current provider quote on a per-dog-per-walk or per-dog-per-week basis. Add any per-walk, monthly, and one-time fees. The planner annualizes weekly costs over 52 weeks and reports a monthly equivalent; it does not estimate local prices or recommend a walking schedule.

Good to know

How does the quote basis change the calculation?

A per-walk quote is multiplied by walks per week and dogs. A per-week quote is multiplied by dogs only. Any entered per-walk add-on is multiplied by walks and dogs in either case.

How are monthly and annual totals calculated?

The monthly equivalent is weekly cost × 52 ÷ 12 plus recurring monthly fees. The annual planning total is weekly cost × 52 plus 12 months of recurring fees and one-time fees. This assumes the same schedule and fees for 52 weeks.

Does this tell me how often my dog should be walked?

No. It uses only the schedule you enter. Exercise needs vary; ask your veterinary team about your individual dog.

per-walk basis weekly cost = walks per week × dogs × (quoted amount + per-walk add-on); per-week basis weekly cost = dogs × quoted weekly amount + walks per week × dogs × per-walk add-on; monthly equivalent = weekly cost × 52 ÷ 12 + monthly fees; annual planning total = weekly cost × 52 + monthly fees × 12 + one-time fees

Output (USD per week, average month, and 52-week year): Arithmetic estimate from visitor inputs only; assumes the selected schedule and fees continue for 52 weeks and supplies no local price or walking-frequency recommendation.
